“Indescribable Joy”
Liza Leung

Luzhai, Guangxi, April, 2015

I had such a rewarding trip to the eye camp in Luzhai and have returned with many wonderful memories. Witnessing a total of 62 elderly people regain their eyesight after cataract surgery was just amazing. I was so touched when one of the patients could see and therefore count my fingers correctly after the surgery. That moment of joy is hard to describe in words. Their lives will change forever and I feel so blessed to be able to be involved in this meaningful volunteer work. Meeting and getting to know the whole team and serving together in Luzhai is surely an unforgettable experience for me.
