Volunteers

  • Medical volunteers
  • Non medical volunteers
Volunteerism is one of our core values. It is our engine, foundation and part of our culture. We celebrate all our volunteers for their generosity of spirit in giving their time, energy, skills and experience to help further our mission. By volunteering with us, you'll be making a real difference to the lives of the vulnerable elderly and their families. You'll also be developing your skills, meeting new people and experiencing much joy in serving others.

If you are a medical professional, we would like to hear from you. We also appreciate the help of non-medical volunteers, particularly for our intergenerational learning programs. There are lots of ways to get involved. The lives of many elderly can be transformed because of volunteers like you.

Please see here for a video of our serving surgeons at an eye camp, and  here for a surgeon’s insights on a beneficiary.

Many non-medical volunteers ask us how they can help. Please see here for a video of our dedicated volunteers at an eye camp and  here for volunteers’ experiences serving the elderly.

Please contact us NOW and join us!

We have a large team of medical professionals who are committed to give their time, energy and professional skills and experience to touch the lives of vulnerable elderly. They include geriatric doctors, ophthalmologists, family physicians, speech therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, optometrists, dieticians and nurses.

Specialists in Geriatric Medicine
Our specialists in Geriatric Medicine help to develop programs that assist the elderly in the ageing process. They use their clinical skills to improve the health, functioning and well being of older adults.
Family Physicians
We would not be able to help vulnerable elderly without a better understanding of their unique as well as their overall physical needs. By restoring them into better health, the elderly are able to lead more productive and independent lives, enabling them to once again regain their self-respect and dignity.
SPEECH THERAPISTS
We have a large team of speech therapists who are committed to help those with swallowing difficulties so as to improve their quality of life. It gives them great joy to help people to regain their swallowing abilities so they can revert to eating safely and enjoy family mealtimes.

The task at hand is enormous and will only increase with the rapidly ageing population. Mighty Oaks welcomes all volunteers, young or old, from all walks of life, who are committed to serving the elderly. We are deeply touched and thankful to our current team for offering their willing hands and compassionate hearts in service. Serving as a volunteer helps us to realize how blessed we are to be living in Hong Kong and how important it is to share.
